» Poem: goodbye
goodbye
written by lost_cause

She kept the candle burning because it hid her sin
The fire was her release from the pain she held within
Though many saw her pain none took a second look
She was just a mystery, some unread little book
Keeping to herself was the thing that she did best
Making sure that no one saw the scars inside her chest
Broken home and painful scars kept her wondering
Is life worth all of the pain and the torment it will bring
Many times she had felt lost and never once belonged
So many years she lived in the hate that was prolonged
Thinking there were no more options, no back door to sneak out
She slit her wrists and said goodbye to all the pain and doubt
