Sanity of a Madman

on a street that has no name
I traveled to a part
where there I was the one to blame
A faceless melody dancing
that haunts my shattered past
A stranger in the shadows
where alone I will be at last
Crimson moon rising
burns with midnight emptiness
A graveyard full of roses
in a Garden cloaked with darkness
Life that has been wasted
in a bottle of sorrow and regret
A madness without a method
lost the game in a future over bet
My tears have gone unnoticed
The demons eyes alive with glee
I taste them with a sadness
broken down for all to see
The world I once yearned for
is now a gamble that I lost
Found no secret all together
A price too much beyond the cost
Leave the angels, fall asleep
let the demons come and play
With the wound thats cut too deep
whisper words I'd never say
Come and take what you have won
the prize is yours aliened with pain
A tainted soul will be forgiven
In a place away from sain. |
