» Poem: The Edge Of The World
The Edge Of The World
written by Mars_Phoenix

I'll confirm for you that we continue to build,
Endless highways of concrete that celebrate defeat,
As they lead to nowhere.
And even if we could see ourselves in every inch,
We'd follow the road as it falls off the edge of the world.

And now I understand,
Your the mistake,
The past; the day we decided to break,
The promise that we made,
That we'd walk through walls and forget,
That I was blind and you were deaf,
To the noise of the water as it fell,
Underneath bridges.

And your silhouette burns off the wall,
As I climb the steps towards the grave,
I'll never look back,
Cause whats done is done,
We'll walk on oceans of black ice
Till we find our highway.

Jump off the edge of the world
So I can follow you home,
Put my arms round your waist and hold you close,
Of all the things I've lost I miss you the most.
