» Poem: The outsider
The outsider
written by DontFearAConcequence

She sits in the back and never looks up
She’s always doodling and writing poems
No one takes the time to get to know her
She sits all alone silent, but so loud
She is labeled a Goth, an Outsider
This is just because she wears all black
They joke about her and call her names
She holds in all her hate, and anger, and pain
She just writes it out in her poetry
Her silent screams go unheard most of the time
She cries at night over the words they say
She thinks she is too depressed to go on
She thinks about suicide all day long
Maybe tonight will be the one, the end
Maybe she will finally have her dream
Others don’t know but today is the last
And tomorrow will never come for her
Then this guy walks up and changes it all
He is dressed in black from head to toe
Tells her she’s cute and asks for her number
She doesn’t know love this is new to her
Her heart skips a beat, hmm, could this be love?

wow. i almost cried that was so good. i'm not the typical person who cries so that's saying something. ur poems are awesome. i absolutely love them. especially this one. it says a lot. i can really relate to the girl. alone, in agony. found love and hopefully it will last. great poem.
