» Poem: Insomnia
Insomnia
written by izzzy
06:18 AM 10/19/04
Foggy dreams
Drifting day
Floating by me
All away
Try to catch one
Lost in grasp
Just like sleep
I cannot clasp
Waking up
Laying down
Always smiling
Never frown
Getting tired
Eyes are closed
Time for sleep,
Not time for doze...

Author's footnotes and comments on this Poem:
The rhythm and simplicity is the key to this poem. I wrote it while suffering a bad case of insomnia and I was exhausted as you could imagine. My exhaustion lead to the fact that I could not think and thus the simplicity.
