Broken

Of twisting, turning faceless dreams
Blinded by the mist of negativity
I’m tormented.
By the feelings that live inside of me
Furious waves of scarlet regret
Unleash a tempest inside my head
My thoughts are warped, like a twisted maze
I’ve lost sight of myself in this velvet haze
Pattern of hate burnt into my skin
Virile serpent waits patiently within
Cold and bitter, a tarnished soul
I am now, the devil’s own
The knife it beckons..
Like a sliver of wicked moonlight
It mocks my guilty tears
As they tremble in the night
I tear at my flesh in the hope to redefine
The somber loneliness of a dangerous mind
Frozen music of ephemeral love serenades
As the curtains fall for good on this hideous masquerade… |
