» Poem: I Won't Let Those Eyes
I Won't Let Those Eyes
written by Morbid Angel
09:10 PM 11/7/04
I never mean it when I yell,
Sometimes I get lost outside myself,
I never mean to hurt you,
But you keep pushing so much...
Your eyes wide open in the dark,
And I despise those eyes,
They try to take my freedom,
I'm sorry I don't give you it all,
But sometimes I get so tired of having to crawl,
You've held me down for so long,
I'll yell back, won't hide behind a wall.
Your eyes wide open in the dark,
I despise those eyes,
They try to steal my freedom,
I won't let those eyes,
They won't steal my freedom.
Sad eyes, I love you,
But please don't steal my freedom,
Your eyes wide open in the dark,
And I know those eyes,
Will try to steal my freedom.
