Wishing on a Star

Staring out the frost-lined window
I stare upon the Heavens above
And see the nights first new star.
I close my eyes and think of you
And how you always know just what to say
Then I make a wish I'll never regret
And I pray that it will come true.
I remeber your arms when you held me tight
And I remember your hand in mine
I miss that feeling and I want it back
Which is why I wish upon this star tonight.
I wish that you will love me for forever and beyond
For I know that I love you too much
I wish that we could be together now for any amount of time
For only and hour with you is Heaven.
Every night I dream of you and how great you seem to be
Then every day I grieve because we are kept apart
But after tonight as I wish on this star
My sweetest prayers and dreams will be answered.
