::Weak, but I can say I am::

I can keep sing that song we used to love.
But nothing not even that will bring you back.
I'm so lost and It hurts me to feel.
They all knew a different side of me.
They say they used to think that I was this and that.
Well they were right.
I was a cutter.
I was a daughter.
I was a little sister.
I was a friend.
Who had no one to turn to.
I still feel alone even tho everyone knows.
Now they tell me I'm here for you no matter what.
I wonder why?
If they thought I was this and that.
Then why didn't they take the time to try to find out.
To see if there was something dying inside of me.
Pain of what my sweet daddy did to us.
Was the lust I used to cut the skin that lied on me.
Oh don't even try to sell that sick story.
Oh if mommy loves him then it's only right to give him a second chance to be a better man.
No I feel that he shouldn't have fucked the first nasty whore who spread her legs.
I feel that in stead of taking out our money and giving it to her family, it should have been used for us.
I feel that he should have been a real father type not some guy who tried to buy you off.
But it's over they say.
Well then why does it still hurt to think about it .
Why does it feel like another cut to my arm.
Drip drop just one more feeling to be stored.
I came out in hope to get help.
But no I don't even get to talk to you about it.
Lets just acted like we don't know.
Do I have to end up like uncle John for you to see that every passing word is killing me.
or do I have to just go ahead and let you find me dead.
A million and one people can come in and out of you life.
And I think that you would acted like a real person only to them.
I know you cry.
I know you hurt.
So do you have to cover it all up?
I'm weak just like you.
Only difference is I can say I am. |
