What she did

You brought this pain along.
It's me you never knew,
Now you're saying I don't belong.
State you're happier without me,
I wouldn't doubt what I see.
Talk about me when I'm not around,
Write about me just to get me down.
I see you with her having so much fun,
You think I did wrong so now I'm being shunned.
I'm only human.
I see you after class,
Everything reminds me of the past.
Remember that time together we served detention?
Now you only make me feel rejection.
I still see you there.
And I cannot help that I cared.
You try and open the lock.
I wish I could walk over and we could talk.
But things change and nothing's ever the same.
I bet you don't even remember my name.
I know you're only human.
You said you're over it and sick of my shit.
I said I'm over you and sick of what you do.
You should know what I said wasn't true.
Nothing's changed yet here, nothing's new.
We still walk home and there's silence; I'm so alone.
There's too much to mend to start over.
I know you never were a loner.
You know you're not like me.
I know I'm not like you.
We can't change who we are, that's why we never got far.
We're only human.
You know it's so hard to let go.
These feelings in me I'll never get to show.
The sight of me you never want to see again.
That's why you said we're not friends.
That's why you declared this the end.
You knew we were falling apart.
You knew you were tearing at my heart.
Say there's nothing left to be said.
You always left me so braindead.
You can't be human.
You're so cold-hearted in your rage,
Tainted and wounded mechanism in your system,
Blind as a bat with no stage,
Running out of excuses and lies,
The rope becomes tense in this line.
We're about to shatter, but what would it matter?
If everything is lost, what is there to lose?
It's a battle of wits that turns out like shit.
She wants you to choose.
Don't ask yourself what should I do?
Ask yourself what would a human with a heart do?
