» Poem: Last Night
Last Night

Deep inflictions of pain, stir the empty thoughts that occupy space in my brain.
Wounds abyss like water, so many feet below sea level.
I wonder who could breathe so far down, you'd have to be immortal.
Or if you're a scientist who knows what they're doing, then go ahead fool and try to catch your breath far away from the surface.
It's calmer down there, isn't it?
The waves aren't the rip currents killing you with the salt to pour in.
It hurts when they pound you down faster.
You slowly sink, it's so true.
There's no air in your lungs to keep you alive.
The cause of death was drowning, it's the way you're going to die.
I had this premonition, it came to me in dream.
I was fast asleep, but I felt it deep.
I knew it was coming soon, I sat and cried in my room.
I felt them take you away from me.
I begged them not to, but they made me see.
You had to go, to save me misery. It's the way it was meant to be.
But now I am finally free.
