The end of all things
written by insanebitch200001:42 PM 11/22/04A fire slowly dies
As the world begins to freeze
No one will sleep tight
No one is at ease
Mothers take their children
And bundle them in layers
While fathers go to church
And say their last prayers
Husbands tell their wives
That their love will never die
Lovers unite their bodies
For the last night they'll be alive
Loners seek a listener
Someone to be a friend
Before the dying world
Slowly comes to an end
Animals roam the streets
But there is no safe place
Any living creature
Will be captive in death's embrace
Daughters run to mothers
And say thank you for all they've done
Sons run to their fathers
And get praised for what they've become
A candle burns out slowly
The flame dies in the night
And soon everybody knows
The end is here tonight
The oceans stop their waves
Every thing is quiet and still
Loved ones hold eachother
While the lonesome enjoy the thrill
The world is consumed in darkness
One last child cries
An explosion entraps the world
And no one will survive. |
