Target Practice
written by KaoticKitty87

Did you hear my footfalls
follow you to the river, clear
did you hear my dagger sing
as it whipped through the air
is that why my dagger missed
did you feel my angry glare
no blood dripped
didnt even knick a hair
so why do I love you
it must be your eyes
every time you look at me
my heart begins to rise
I will not allow myself to feel this way
you grab my hand, no I wont stay
my dagger sings again
this time it did not miss
your eyes begin to tear
as mine begin to mist
the target was not you my love
the dagger is buried in my chest
so if any ever care to ask
yes I did love you best
