Build a Dam

You think you've got a good hold, you're getting closer, so this is your plan.
Well, did you ever plan to make me feel so bad?
Did you ever plan to make me feel so sad?
I know you never knew just how much damage you were causing.
I know you never thought about stopping.
Thought you were winning, you were ahead.
You knew I was losing and almost emotionally dead.
I know you never understood how much I cried.
I know you'd never understand if I died.
Everyday when I'm alone I'll cry, cry so hard the tears don't stop falling.
Everynight when I lie in bed I'll cry, cry so much it burns cause the salt is crawling.
Aren't my eyes dry now?
Nope they're still wet from the water.
And the water won't stop flowing til you build a dam. |
