» Poem: I Thought But Didn't Know
I Thought But Didn't Know
written by xxxvampire_loverxxx

I thought I loved you
I thought you cared
I thought I knew what to do
When I looked, you were always there

I knew it was too good to be true
It was the one thing that made me scared
I thought I'd fallen so deeply in love with you
But when I heard what happened, I all of a sudden didn't care

My love for you stopped
But then I remembered what you said
"When I thought it was over, I passed out, dropped,"
But I'm not going to be fooled again

I thought I knew
That when I felt this way
That it meant I was in love with you
But I knew the feeling wouldn't stay

I thought but didn't know
That you were the one for me
But then I let you go
Because you took off the mask, and what was there to see

Wasn't anything at all
There was nothing inside
You'd never be there to break my fall
The day I found this out, was the day my feelings for you died
