» Poem: Praying
Praying
written by devilchild01

Standing on the edge of a bridge waiting
Just waiting looking for a little sign
A sign to show someone care’s.
Praying a light will guide me
To a person who will help me.
Knowing that my guiding person is dead
Seeing no hope reflect in the water
I see a girl looking back her skin almost dead
White as a ghost. Skin thin as paper
Hair, which was as black as midnight
Now dole and lifeless clings to her head.
Her eyes have lost their shine
The hope that lived in them has gone.
