» Poem: Parents in a broken world
Parents in a broken world
written by KaoticKitty87

they say they love us
but they never ask why
they cover up our secrets
afraid to see us cry
they give us medication
hoping to make our problems go away
but guess what, the pills arnt magic
they dont understand us, because they dont try
they push us back in the shadows
but scream when we die
the only understanding is in each others problems
we must help each other to stop the suicides
depression is growing, with each child born
parents cant stop it, but they are torn
there may never be a cure
for the pain we endure
but in each others empathy, we can learn to survive
