Laying in the dark,
unstoppable tears growing in my eyes,
listening to the same sad song for the hundredth time,
hating life more with each passing moment... And now the rain begins to fall,
it mingles with my tears... The pain inside me grows and I'm the only one who knows.
He was the one who could make me smile,
he was the one worth while,
but now he's gone,
my tears over flow...
And nobody knows.
Someday when years have passed,
I will look back on my tears and laugh,
he will hold me close and the pain my heart once held will fall away when he comes back to stay,
he will bring better days,
and I will smile through the rain.
I think of him as I sob in the darkness,
