Slumberless Sleep

to find I can no longer speak
there is no one to hear my pathetic crys
and no one to make a reply
I awake from a slumberless sleep
to find that I cannot see
nothing but darkness, black and bleak
nothing to see no matter how hard I seek
I awake from a slumberless sleep
to find that I cannot dream
no thoughts left in my brain
but those that would drive me insane
I awake in my own grave
terrified, no longer brave
no longer wanting the death I have sought
an eternity of this hellish nightmare Ive bought |
