» Poem: Ruby dragon
Ruby dragon
written by Trapezium
11:38 AM 1/23/05
Sitting on a rocky outcrop,
Enclosed in golden wings,
With a tail wrapped around,
The black diamond sings.

Scales harder than any chainmail,
Ruby eyes that suggest,
Lit up by the reddened sky,
Protecting your vulnerable chest.

The sword falls from thundering heights,
And lands in your nest,
Poisoned by your unrest.

You roar away the fear,
Defend your blackened home,
Again you're on your own...

Betrayed by your kind,
You sealed sanctum in your mind,
Intruded by your thoughts,
A living impurity turned blind.

Futures haunt your memories,
Vivid images of never flying free,
And keeping your shell intact,
The hate you felt was curiosity.
