Fight to the Death
written by Fire_Angel08:36 PM 1/31/05Sometimes we all have something to let out. In me, it's the fights i crave,
that might just send me to my grave. I hear that fighting will get me into trouble,
messing my life untill it's all turned dark, the buildings of Manhatten all turned to rubble.
First I must find a challenger,
one that I can beat. Or one that can defeat me,
make me feel the ground beneath me,
against my darkened face.
A well placed kick, a jab or two here,
his fist goes slamming into my ear.
I dodge a blow, and throw him a couple,
for which he is to slow to miss. Now he goes down,
but my mistake,
his leg swings round to trip me, and karma takes its toll.
I can now taste dirt, my perspiration,
oh the desperation!
He now rolls over, I kick but miss,
my hands close around his wrist,
but he's too strong,
and before long,
his hands will steal my breath.
My eyes see nothing,
I cannot move,
I'm up among the clouds. |

I take Karate, and i fear being strangled like the subject in my poem. I know it's not likely though; thank god! [ View Fire_Angel's Profile ] [ Go to the Poetry Portal ] This Poem has been viewed 474 times
