» Poem: Pressure
Pressure
written by lost_cause

Could you imagine the surprise when they saw my tear-stained eyes?
They knew just what it meant and they knew that I had lied.
But maybe I should tell you the whole story just to start.
How the pain of thier acceptance has been tearing me apart.

I try hard to make them happy, just to see them smile once.
So maybe I'd feel loved, but that's not what I got.
I tried to make an effort, just to make them proud of me.
I worked so hard I couldn't loose, just so they could see.
As hard as I tried to prevail, I finally thought I might.
Sooner than I knew I had battled hard and lost the fight.

So when they saw my cut up arms, they never stopped to think
That they might be the pressure making me drip blood into the sink...
