Secrets

in your perfect way
and when you smiled at me
you answered a prayer that day
for all i saw
sitting next to me
was my friend forever
and my love secretly
when i was with you
i didn't know what to say
i got so nervous
though i saw you everyday
as each moment went by
my feelings for you grew
this is something i never told you
something you never knew
to me you were beautiful
in every single way
there were no owrds to describe you
nothing i could say
when i looked into your eyes
and you into mine
the sensation i felt
was just one little sign
i know what it was
for that one second it was love
then it was all over
like lightening form above
the things i did with you
all the good times that we had
i remember each and every word
not one moment with you was bad
i keep them all in my memory
so i can keep going back
and relive each moment we've shared
each one i can reenact
now my final words to you
are hard for me to say
but i have to tell you
i must say them anyway
i cared for you
i really did
but you never returned the feelings
couldn't you just once have said
i love you or i care
that you'd never break my heart
but it's too late now
because it's already broken apart
for hurt is all i feel
and fear is all i see
so catch my tears
then let me be |
