A world lost in war

Ebony and crimson traces exalt my sorrow. Filling me up to the mind with a wavering morrow. What shall come from the dead of night? What shall come from the eternal fire? Will the voice speak in the dark as I cast into the corner a candle light? Faces of a thousand dreams haunt me still. Leaving me tattered, and ruined, my angered soul has the thirst for blood. It hungers to kill. A vivid image of death and destruction imbedded in my eyes. As I read over the epitaph long since past, in which the tears of angels rest. Upon the tombstone etched with lies. Fluttering little wings of the dove catch an up heaving wind, into the Heavens the feathered creature is sent. With a message of mutilation unto God he must send, for all of the demons work is an apathetic sin. Miles and miles of devastation lay in wait for the wanderer to find, for the brutal beast has followed his own psychotic whims. Bones and arrow's litter the ground, along with swords and spears of the fallen soldiers that did make dieing sounds. Heart stopping terror filled screams they did make aloud, as they fell into the pits of pain, into the palace of malice. From the womb of the wretched they did come, now back into the dirt from whence man came they do return. As they rot, and decay, festering bodies with infectious disease. A plagued field of dreams, is all that it is now. Or so it would seem. Shall the children running towards church find this world that seems so torn? Will they see reality and wish that they were never born? Or will they go merrily along their way, without catching sight of the decadent catastrophe and find a Rose with such perfect thorns?
