Realize

Pull me out of the river
Open my eyes
It's time for everyone to realize
We just keep dreaming
We just keep hoping
that everything will be ok
I can hear them talking
They talk behind me so I can't hear
I can hear them snicker and sneer
Take their hand
Make them feel my pain
Even if I accomplish this...what would I gain?
Sick, drained, tired
Never getting that someone I desired
Hoping, lost to black pits of hell
Opening up the doorway for the broken heart
This is what will finally pull me apart
Breaking down, falling into emptiness
Never coming back from this dark abyss...
Not calling for help
You should hear no cry
You know I only need to be held when a tear falls from my eye
No, I will not fall, I will not die
Staying strong for all I have to live for
When everything falls apart...I will live on. |
