» Poem: empty silence
empty silence
written by trulybroken57
04:02 PM 2/12/05
fill the silence with emptiness,
drown out the sorrows
of my blood soaked screams.
endlessly haunting me,
listening to my every word,
meaningless words,
pouring out my heart and soul
to nothing but a mocking happiness,
deepening my grief, filling me with hate,
do not wait for me,
just take my hand
and lead me along to nowhere.
the silence is killing me,
making me believe that i am nothing,
i have nothing to offer
but these tear streaked pages,
day after day returning to the silence,
a ghostly reminder
that no one is there.
covered with a shallow pond
of unforgiving waters,
waves of ice and frozen time
and no one is there
to help me fill this empty silence.
