Behind My Broken Smile

Are things that you don't know
Because you always see me laugh
So that the pain won't show
Behind my broken smile
Pain cuts like shards of glass
But I just keep on smiling
And wait for it to pass
Behind my broken smile
Is hate beyond my years
But my bright smile grows bigger still
In hope to suppress the tears
Behind my broken smile
Lies a broken heart
Shattered from too many fallen tears
That ripped my family apart
Behind my broken smile
Are things you'll never see
For you will not understand
This wounded part of me
