One road I wish to follow.
Will you be here for me tomorrow?
Or will I be left alone to wallow,
in my own self pity,
lame and un-pretty.
You’re the star I look to for light,
even when I know I my self am bright.
But I always know your right,
and that you are the one heart I can trust.
You’re a must.
Cry?
Yes I do.
Yell?
When I'm mad enough at you.
Smile?
Whenever your near.
That’s perfectly clear.
Life is confusing,
sometimes amusing.
And I know you see through my lies,
the only thing you ever wonder is “Why?”
I’m probably out of control,
on a bad roll,
ready to crash,
and hell yes I’m ready to dash.
Far away from the things that hurt,
even if their not as bad as they seem,
that’s just me.
But once again there you are,
telling me not to fall apart.
That its all going to be ok.
To not cry anymore tears,
that someday things will be better,
though it may take a few years.
My brain tells me “No!”
Don’t listen to him,
run away,
don’t return,
not even one day.
But my heart tells me “Yes.”
You know he’s the best.
Don’t be afraid,
he’ll show you the way.
So here I am,
waiting for life’s train.
Happy inside,
because I know your mine.
Because I know my heart was right.
That everything will be all right some night,
when things seem so much more bright.
I have one road I wish to follow.
And even though I don’t know if there will be a tomorrow,
I will know that I’m loved,
that I’m not alone,
that I’ll be with you someday.
Life is confusing,
that’s true.
But having you,
helps me realize...
That maybe my dreams really can come true. |
