» Poem: Between Heaven And Hell
Between Heaven And Hell
written by Morbid Angel

If I say I love you will you need me,
I said I'm sorry, please forgive me,
Or is it best to leave behind what we buried,
And make it through the day without being afraid.

I'm tired of loosing all my hope,
Halfway between heaven and hell.
God knows I've tried,
To make it beautiful like before.

I wish I was so up high,
To leave this place behind,
See the world through the eyes of a child,
To make it beautiful like before.

I want you to give it,
But I know you'll only steal it,
Maybe you just need it,
So stop hiding from what you're feeling.

Don't be a stranger to me now,
Come too far to let things go.
Halfway between heaven and hell,
Get me the fuck out of this world.

Keep trying to look strong,
Like you have no soul,
A heart solid and torn,
Without the emotion to make it beautiful.

when I first read it, it was just a good poem. But reading it again, I realized how much I can relate to it, and it's wonderful.
