Definition of lonely

without companionship.
I am finally,
understanding this.
That having no one,
is having nothing.
Being all alone,
without anyone or anything.
Or deserted only in mind,
with people still by your side.
You just feel so useless,
pathetic and empty.
The definition of lonely is,
