» Poem: Once Upon An Ending
Once Upon An Ending
written by cryptic_misery
11:28 PM 3/7/05
The binding of our spiral notebook
Finally fell apart
I took the line off the hook
Ended a feeling with no heart
Gave up on reality
I'll stick with make-believe
Threw away my sanity
Gave up all of me
Taking the key that keeps me locked down
Singing out of tune with society
I blocked you out of sound
For choosing your variety
Conflict has me spinning
Your breathing makes me shake
I won't get another beginning
Because my last chance for hope was all you could take...
Only hate has grown
On this heartless mending
So close your book of lies alone,
This story of once upon an ending
I got rid of everything wrong
I ripped you out you see
Repaired myself and now I'm strong
The legend of you and me...
