The prisoner

I wish I didn't do that crime.
I wish my gun didn't go off.
Or to hear that mans last cough.
Why am I looking at the wall.
Of the prison.
Why did that gun.
Fire at all. |

| I find your username offensive. Druggies are people who choose their own way. Sometimes it's death. Sometimes those illegal drugs actually save lives from death, you just don't hear about it on TV or from your school health programme, because very powerful interests depend on keeping particular drugs illegal for reasons mostly having to do with money, but also control. (In particular, marijuana. Which is unpatentable. Which anyone can grow. And which would lose some pharmaceutical corporations and liquor companies a lot of business. Can't have that...
Look around you. People drive automobiles, play with their skateboards, ski, climb mountains, ride motorcycles, go target shooting, jump from airplanes and scuba dive. Any of these activities can leave one dead or permanently disabled but none of them are illegal. And all are, like drugs, used by human beings for various purposes, including much needed escape from grim and dull reality. By all means don't use drugs if you choose, more power to you. But "death to druggies" sounds like hate speech to me. It's just condoned in society to hate druggies and fat people more than it is to hate other types of individuals. But I do not think that should be. |
