» Poem: Living So Breathless
Living So Breathless
written by cryptic_misery
11:34 PM 3/22/05
As I inhale this gasping breath
Breathing in little air
I stop to cut it short..
Turning my head to the east
The sharpest of blades
Swinging up above me
Lower and faster it goes
About to swoop away what's left of me
Trying to slide out of the embrace
Of the pain pressuring ropes
I close my eyes
And cling against the invisible force
That pushes through the wall
Against my skin
The pendulum of clarity
Showing me I have nothing left
During a moment I thought I would live
Until it cuts me deep and I die....
This way, I shall live forever
Living so pure and free
Living so breathless
