My Perfect Night

The air is cool and the stars are bright.
There is just a slight, cool wind,
But not as cool as the one I have within.
It is warm but not too much, just right,
Like something you love and you want to hold tight.
Tonight is so perfect, it makes me sad,
Cuz I don't want to forget and the thought feels bad.
Yet, it is not so perfect cuz I am alone.
Outside by myself on my own.
Hopeing that the people I care about are enjoying it too.
But I can't be sure and I don't know what to do.
There are so many things I hide deep inside,
But the night understands and will always be by my side.
Catching all the tears I cried,
And giving me hope for things left to be tried. |
