» Poem: Blind, bleeding, and wakened
Blind, bleeding, and wakened
written by CatOnAHotTinRoof
10:14 PM 4/6/05
Sitting here so alone again.
There is a picture in my head,
showing all left unsaid.
You are here inside me.
I can hold you dearly.
I then feel your pain through those tears.
I can taste these inner fears.

Reminants of light flash.
Shadows decorate the dark.
How are we all of hate?

To the waking blind,
this world is not fully seen.
Shadows outline the pain and greed.
Flames of hope flicker and fail.
This wakened blind,
is a plague so frail.

My mind is bleeding again.
I can feel my heart screaming ahead.
bleeding mind; exiting me.
exiting real.
exiting here.
I exist in the atmosphere.
Running in orbit, I breathe in space.
I'm high on oxygen,
bleeding my mind through into you.
No anecdote can save us now.

I do not like it one bit, you're no holy God.
I'm no angel, and
I will die someday.
I got news, and
You will die too.
There is someone higher than you.
So I will tell true,
you're not my God, and
I won't play your games.

No more feeling to let go.
I feel the darkness play,
your pain through all those tears.
I can taste your inner fears.
Sitting here so alone again.
Bleeding my mind through into you.

No anecdote can save us now.

I'm no angel,
I will die someday.

Sitting here alone again.

Reminants of light flash before my eyes.
Shadows of dark decorate the enclosed room.
Fly away shadows, fly.
The atmosphere is waiting.
Shadows are no longer safe here, no air.
No oxygen, loss of sun, no light.
The flames have all gone, there is no feed.

Seems to me you're underneath my skin.
All the pictures I view you're in.
It seems that through it all,
I have seen you fall.
No, I can see you, I can catch you.
I can taste life in your tears.

My mind's bleeding again,
I'm sifting through smoke and lies.

I push my fingers into my eyes.
Feel the warmth of the end.
Blood outlines my pain and my greed,
trickles of hope trail and fade.
To the wakened blind,
no plague can be a fair trade.
