» Poem: Dark Sorrows that Guard Tomorrow
Dark Sorrows that Guard Tomorrow
written by cryptic_misery

Dark sorrows that guard tomorrow
What path do I take? Which one do I follow?
Every day I think of you
Even when I'm feeling blue

Dark sorrows that guard tomorrow
through the tears that I may borrow
Though we can not be together
You'll be in my heart, always and forever

What's with this feeling deep inside?
A feeling so strong, I can not hide
And even though you may not see,
My love for you will always be.

For all the times I dream in sorrow,
no thanks to your dark sorrows that guard tomorrow.

Author's footnotes and comments on this Poem:
My first poem, in my first book, for my first love. We had dated for 10 months straight, and a little over a year off and on all together. I knew just by the title of this very first poem of mine that I'd end up to be a dark child. Again, I wrote this in 7th grade, after we broke up. I had moved on to a new love, a great one too, but I still had deep feelings for David. he'll always be in my heart, not in that way, but I'll always remember him. We parted because I felt that he was to immature, and he interviend with everything else that went on. He abused me as well, and I couldn't find myself to get out of it, and when I did, this is where I ended up. so the dark sorrows he caused me will guard tomorrow...but tomorrow will never come. so I'll always have the good and bad memories of everything that's happend to me.
