The void
written by GeishaGirl09:36 AM 4/9/05My heart is like an empty void; I opened it once and almost got destroyed
So I’ve sealed myself up in here, I no longer need to feel my fear
It often gets lonely inside but I don't mind I have myself as company
I'm safe sealed up in here, I may be trapped but at least I’m free
I've been hurt before but never again
I’ve sealed myself up inside the void that is my heart
I’m not going crazy in here, if anything I’m more sane
Perhaps it was the hurt that tore through my brain
You can't reach in I can't reach out,
I can't hear you no matter how much you shout
The key to my heart is in here inside
I’m not coming out, that’s the law I abide
I’ve been tricked before but never again
I’ve sealed myself up inside the rift that is my soul
The way inside you'll never obtain
My despair and you trying to get in is like coal to a train
You can't come in... |
