All you did was make me blue
As hard as I tried
Something eventually inside me died
Your harsh words affected me
But you refused to see
How your words eroded me spirit
Now I feel like a culprit
You tired to censor me
You stated your reasons with a homily
But all I heard was your diabolical plan
To make me cower in the presence of a man
Sometimes I wish I had amnesia
So that I’d forget yah
And all the things you robbed me of
Including my love
You took me as a gullible person
But now the only one to feed your lies to is your son
Your words will no longer cause chaos in my life
You will no longer act as a knife
I’m cutting you off completely
I will no longer grant you clemency
I will now be able to sleep at night
And live happily and bright |
