Joy Ride

The pixels dissolve to grey
Everything seems to slowly float away
Every ounce of sanity thats left in my head
Just slips right out of my hands
Can't understand what I've said
I collapse into hysteria
Laughing at the air
I can't keep myself on my feet
My vision goes impaired
Everything goes to blurr
And my hands can't feel to grip
I've lost all my sanity
I feel as if I've slipped
Slipped right of the edge
Of the brink of salvation
I've stumbled onto something
Of my own creation
I chose this path of destruction
The path was wide and clear
But now it's narrow and foggy
And I've lost ability to steer
Crashing into life taking it away
I look back into flashing lights
They remind me of a newly risen day
I wake up the next morning
My hands shaking and mind blank
It hurts myself to move
I feel as if I sank
The radio is blaring and it stutters out some lines
Sixteen dead last night
They must be on someone's conscious
I found out later they'd be on mine.... |
