» Poem: Can I Embrace It Now?
Can I Embrace It Now?
written by SuperBob

They're itching...that's how they call to me
By making my hands travel to them and scratch them raw again
My scars are begging me to be reopened...the blood, how it wants to seep around me
But i destroyed my blade...for one person has that effect on me...why did I cave to him?....because of Love....
But I loved my destruction of my flesh....I loved my blood trickling and swriling with release....all of it was my expression of tears...
Now when I talk him I can cry freely when I feel like cutting...but oh how I enjoyed just cutting instead of showing...
My blade....how I miss it so...My blood...how it wants to run free...over my memories....
I would rip away my flesh...but I know that he would cry...why do I have this need to please?
Whatever happened to my freedom?
How did I manage to turn this all to remorse?
I want my blade back...I want one last deep laceration...
I want to feel a fresh wound...and then when it repairs....I will feel the grove left behind....the groves that my nails linger in as I try to control the urge from within

Author's footnotes and comments on this Poem:
okie i really wanna indulge in "self-mutilation"..but i cant...i wont...but oh....it used to just be a release..but then it started to feel good....i want that....why'd i have to go and fall for someone who onvinces me that if i need my meds i should take them even if i hate them and that my blade is only destroying me...hell why'd he have to go and cry for me last time i cut....it felt so good to release but now i just feel so guilty about wanting to that i cant...not to mention i no longer have a blade so....
