Just Like The Movies
written by UponSettingDay12:54 AM 4/23/05Kill me softly
So that nobody can hear
Kill me gently
So I don’t go in fear
Let me go home
Let me say my goodbyes
Let me say my last words
A cliché line of arrogance
Go on without me
Leave me here to die
I hate being the hero
The one who gets left behind
I want to be the survivor
The one that lives in the end
Just like the movies
Or the T.V shows
I just want to go home
I just want to go home
As the blade gets closer
My heart begins to skip
My life flashes before me
And words roll of my lips
The walls close in
Like a mausoleum or crypt
I realize that I’m
Six feet under ground
Safely in a new home
Not making a sound
Just like the movies
We’ll cry in the end
Just like the movies
We’ll try to pretend
That it’s a happy ending
One that gets an encore cheer
We’ll make it out alive
Even though death is o’ so near
O’ so near |
