» Poem: Slit My Wrists
Slit My Wrists
written by Morbid Angel
09:47 PM 8/26/04
Slit my wrists and marry me,
Hurt me now then set me free,
I know there's more to life then you,
But I can't say goodbye to this pain you put me through,
I'm screaming your name and reaching for your hand,
But you shut your ears and push me to the ground,
Why do you break my heart so easily?
Slit my wrists and marry me,
Hurt me now then set me free,
I know you hear me because Im screaming,
I'll say I love you til it has no meaning,
Don't want to wake up; its easy when Im sleeping,
Shattered pieces of my life lie on the floor,
Never smiling, dont even laugh no more,
I just want you back, the way we were before.
Slit my wrists and marry me,
Hurt me now then set me free
