Son of the Devil

went to light an ancient war
didn't know quite where I was
or what had all gone down before
i set out looking but before my yime
the son of the devils is a friend of mine
in london town i had a fight
that's how i meet sir griff that night
i looked for him at stonehenge babe
i saw some frightful sights
i searched for him in scotland
and i found some neoknights
i set out looking to bide my time
the son of the devil is a friend of mine
if i get home defore daylight
i won't have to cast my knight
i went to the icle of erik
and i saw not hide nor hair
i meet a twenty one year old
with a two thousand year old stare
i set out looking but it's taking time
the son of the devil is hard to find
whether we meet again or not
i'll dream each not of camelot
got two reasons why i cry
away each lonely night
one was named sweet guinevere
her heart was stole away
second ones morgana cornish
the last of all my kin
if she catches up with me
i won't see day again
got a girl named jennifer
and one named elain d
second's got a wedding ring
she doesn't wear near me
i set out looking and it took some time
the son of the devil is a friend of mine
if i find him before daylight
i just might get some sleep tonight |
