SwordArt Online

Has anyone seen it?
If so, do you recommend it?
I read a little on Wiki, but didn't want too many spoilers. What I read sounded good, though.

It's a very good show... though it went by way too fast at times.

They did in a season what I would have loved to be done in 10...

But it's definitely one of my recent favorites.

Update: I watched maybe the first 10 or so episodes of it. Very disappointed. It started off a good premise, then way too much weird relationship/attraction stuff. I just got bored.

yeahh... it sort of picks back up again, but the weird relationship stuff sticks around unfortunately.

If you think that was weird relationship stuff, wait for the last 12 episodes.

It gets even stranger.

seen the first three episodes, kinda like it so far. haven't gotten to the weird bits yet.... but for an anime about an online game its surprisingly not crap.

On a sort of side note, but still related to the show, the second season, which is sort of the third section of the story, is set to start this July.

So by the time you guys finish the show, if you do, there will likely be some new material.

=/ Too bad. I guess if I run out of other anime I'll keep watching, but... Yeah. Relationshippy/fanservice and overly overt comedy gimmicks are two things sure to spoil an anime for me. It's like admitting they don't think the central plot is strong enough or something. Which I don't think is always the case.

ah, I just ran into the fanservice >_< I figure that because its not a typical online game style anime... the higher ups got nervous along the line about keeping viewers, assuming that all of their viewers would be their stereotypical idea of video game nerds... and hence.... all of the slutbutts.

Ends in the middle?

It felt like an ending to me.

But it did get quite serious, like, felony offense serious.

I was wondering why they hadn't arrested the dev and started making changes to the world based on information gained through torture... him also being unable to leave makes sense of that. But now I am wondering if he woke up IRL, remained an artefect in the game world, or ceased to exist.

I'm also finding the allot of the anime I like at the moment are only running to episode 13 or so, and really, the show would have been absolutely fine to end there... the problem is resolved, everyone's stories have ended, there is space for wondering..

Honestly, there are some shows that end at 12 or 13, and it's fine, because there isn't anything else going on.

SAO, though, is going to continue for a while.

At least one more season.

I really enjoy stories that don't end.
