| » Poem: Pain, dust and regret | Pain, dust and regret
written by Firequeen11:46 AM 9/20/06Poem Style: lyricI've heard so many contradictions,
believed so many lies.
Of all the stars that weep and shine,
it's you who stung my eye.
It's ben so long, without your horror,
in lack I wither and cry.
I can do nothing, but beg forgiveness,
hoping that you will return.
My blood leeched by your memory,
if only it would bring you back.
Dwelling for a distant sun,
the pain has only begun.
I have wronged you so many times,
thinking it would be alright.
No longer blinded, I see my faults,
but it is all too late.
Never thought that you could wound me,
but simple words can kill.
So here I stand, shattered and broken,
asking what's become of me.
Cause all I know, is that's I'm awoken,
from daydreams of harmony.
I can lie no more, bitter words will hurt,
my pain already plentiful.
Immerse myself in a soft cocoon,
sleep a temporary peace.
In this estate I cannot remain,
drowing into shame.
Changing slowly into something new,
waiting under the blue.
Feeling different, I breake a mask,
peeling of the cast.
Leaving behind an empty scale,
tuffer winds I'll prewail.
Free again my butterfly,
I've said my goodbye. |
