Pressure
written by Morbid Angel06:54 PM 9/25/04All this weight is on my shoulders but I'll keep pushing away,
Trying to leave it behind me as I try to fight another day,
This pressure won't push me down this time,
This time I won't subside,
I won't spiral into depression because it's not worth leaving you behind,
It's not worth leaving you to be all alone inside,
I won't cave in under tonnes of hate and lies,
I won't let it happen again because this time I want to be strong,
I won't give in to the pressure,
This time I will hold on,
Because I love you and you'll lift this pressure from my body,
You'll reach in and tear the hurt that lies inside me,
You'll realease me from these chains that bound me to the floor,
I promised you today that I will be depressed no more |
