» Poem: Walking With Ghosts
Walking With Ghosts
written by Mars_Phoenix

Tied to the roof of the world,
Would you jump go on know the thrill,
As time spreads its blanket over
My eyes I recall
the time,
the sound
the voice
of the day
I took my heart into my hands,
And let it spill
As the world turned to ash in my mouth.

I've been forced to swallow and choke,
On your filth and bullshit
For at least another year i'll spend
Contemplating the 10 best ways to follow up
On the legendery death of Cobain.
Only when i'm gone,
You'll never remember my name.

Tied to the roof of the world
I'll jump.
I don't need to know the risks.
In the words of a friend,
"do you have the guts to jump off the roof of the world?"

I've been there and back,
Pushed down the fear and took my time,
With every second I felt alive.
You will never be the same,
Once your gone you'll never want it more,
Once your gone you'll ask what it was all for?
Once your gone you'll never feel more alive
Than you did when you walked this earth,
Until the day you walk with ghosts.
