Stained Plastic Stars
written by xXmasqueradeXgirlXx07:25 PM 1/26/05Creep into the night and never look back
As I cry myself to sleep and die
A thousand deaths of unrequited love
My heart is heavy and about to cave
Never mind as he held my hand
And kissed me with virgin lips
Shaking, trembling in the cold blue
Of a once happy girl
Where as my life now
Consists of hate and love that is doomed
Forever into the nothingness of incandescent stars
Iridescent love shines through my eyes
And shows how I would never hurt you
My shadow plastic heart aches and longs
For the love of another
But I don’t think he can even see me
I could see him through the darkness
Of my broken heart glass, open
Never seeing my weeping soul
As into the night
My tears fall across my pillow
Seeping into my bruised ring
That holds the sorrows of that day
Forgetting my life behind the cage
Of past hurt and closeted rage
I could hear your pin drop mind
But you couldn’t hear my screaming
Into the night sky they fly
Pages left of epitaphs
Written to deceive the true meaning
Of what lies inside my stained glass heart
A dastardly disguise of joy
When my mind rings out
And thinks it knows the meaning
Of this devious emotion
Called love…
