Strolling through the desert.
Which I had been doing for days.
Then low and behold a lone man standing by a wooden shack!
long hair, and a full beard, kaki shorts, red bandana, sandals, sunglasses, vacation shirt, tropical design, he was selling lemonade.
So I bought a glass, then he refused to let me pay.
He had a joint tucked behind his ear then asked me. "Do you want to leave here?"
I had nothing to lose, not even a job or a place to stay, so I decided to fly away.
We went on this journey seemed like an eternity.
He was talking about all the things man does.
and all the idea's he had planned.
He said there was a book about him.
But he never understood what it meant.
He said people praised him.
But he never understood why.
He said then he had these idiots killing in his name.
Saying he told them to, he said that was a lie.
After we toked, choked, flew into the future.
Which was a few hours.
Coming back to reality, it seems rather dull of me.
To get lost so long standing still.
But then again, I had time to kill.
I shook his hand and went on my way.
I turned around to ask for his name.
He said. "My names Jesus. I'm the guy that loves to stay high, and I'll see you when you die."
It occurred to me, Christians were going to Hell.
But oh well, he wasn't a hippy, so maybe they had a chance.
Even though, I'm not sure I'd bet my head on advance. |
