» Poem: But You. |
But You.
written by Morbid Angel04:46 PM 4/17/05Given the chance I could love you,
But would you even feel the same?
You came so close to perfect with me,
And I can't just let that go.
It's my fault that I lost out,
But don't ever say I didn't try.
Maybe in a few years when it's over,
We can look back and regret tonight.
Are you too afraid to touch me?
I promise I won't let go of your hand,
When it's round my neck and I'm choking,
I'll hold on all I can.
Are you standing still or are you running,
Away from me and this path of life,
Everyone makes the same old choices,
Killing to stay alive.
Would it hurt too much to kiss me,
You moved on and became a man,
Now reduced to tears like a broken child,
I guess I'll see who you really are. |

Thank you. Yeah theres a reason for that. If you look back, the old ones aren't like that...I've just been feeling a certain way for a while now so I rubs off on my poetry. |
